Your Questions, Answered

  • Not all therapy is the same, and not all therapists are the right fit for every person or problem, which is exactly why the consultation matters.

What I offer is specialized, evidence-based treatment with DBT, EMDR, CBT, and Prolonged Exposure. If previous therapy felt like talking without progress, this approach will likely feel quite different. We'll always be working toward something concrete, with real skills you can use outside of sessions.

  • I'm an out-of-network provider and don't bill insurance directly. You pay at the time of service, and I can provide a superbill (a type of receipt) you can submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement. Many clients recover a meaningful portion of their fee this way. I recommend calling the member services number on your insurance card and asking about your out-of-network mental health benefits before we begin.

Working outside of insurance also means your care stays between you and me; no required diagnoses, no session limits, no outside approval. For the kind of deep, skills-based work I do, that freedom matters.

In limited circumstances I have some flexibility for clients where fee is a genuine barrier; feel free to raise this during our consultation.

  • Yes. Everything you share in therapy is confidential. I'm legally and ethically bound to protect your privacy. There are a small number of exceptions required by law (such as if there is a risk of imminent harm to you or someone else) and I'll walk you through those clearly in our first session so there are no surprises.

  • Yes, and I genuinely encourage it. I offer a free 15–20 minute phone consultation before you book your first session. Finding the right therapist match is one of the most important factors in whether therapy works, and I take that seriously. If after talking it feels like someone else might serve you better, I'll do my best to point you in the right direction.

  • That's a completely fair thing to wonder about. Therapeutic fit matters, and I'd never want you to feel stuck. If at any point the work isn't feeling right, I want you to tell me. We can adjust our approach, or if needed, I'll help connect you with someone who may be a better match. Your progress is the priority, not my caseload!

  • Send me a message and I'll get back to you within 24 hours. We'll schedule a free consultation, see if we're a good fit, and take it from there.

You've already done the hardest part. I'd love to help with the rest.
